Aldin Ayo wants nothing more than to grow in the MPBL
Aldin Ayo is all set to make his debut in the 2018 Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League on Thursday in Bulacan.
There, he will be calling the shots for league-leading Muntinlupa for the very first time.
Finally breaking his silence about the development, coach Aldin reiterated that University of Sto. Tomas has no problems with him serving simultaneously as head coach of the Growling Tigers and the Cagers. “Before I committed to Muntinlupa, I asked permission from managers, especially kay Fr. Jennel [Abogado] and alam naman nilang kaya ng schedule ko,” he told reporters.
While his status as simultaneous head coach for two teams, has already been resolved, his reason for taking on the challenge in the semi-professional regional league has just been revealed.
For the multi-titled mentor, who has one championship each in both the NCAA and the UAAP, it’s all about his development as a coach. “Remember when I told you when I left La Salle? Personal growth? Ito yun. Kung marami kang kino-coachan na ganito, you’ll learn eh,” he shared.
He then continued, “Actually, kahit busy, kahit maraming ginagawa, I’m excited kasi natututo ako.”
With that, expect the same sort of fire when coach Aldin takes his talents to Muntinlupa. His first game there will be up against the Basilan Steel.
