With CJ Cansino shining bright, UST fans have a great reason to flock to the venue
Game by game, CJ Cansino has been fulfilling his promise to University of Sto. Tomas.
From being the school’s first Juniors MVP since Kevin Ferrer, he has become one of the frontrunners for Rookie of the Year in the UAAP 81 Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Safe to say, the Growling Tigers made the right decision in securing the services of Cansino just as Cansino made the right decision in committing to the Growling Tigers.
Before officially staying in Espana, the long-limbed swingman was courted by the likes of Colegio de San Juan de Letran, Far Eastern University, and National University.
Still, he proved to be a man of his word and did what he had been saying all along. Gusto ko ring i-prove sa Seniors na may magagawa ako for UST,” he said back then, just in the earlygoing of his last season in the Juniors.
Now, Cansino is proving to be the hope that UST had been looking for, continuing to give his all game in and game out.
In such light, though, the super rookie has one wish. “Ibibigay ko lang best ko and sana, next games, bumawi na sila kasi kailangang-kailangan namin sila,” he expressed.
That goes out to the Growling Tigers faithful out there – Cansino and company want nothing more than to hear you.
