UAAP 81 By the Numbers: Kouame is going to be a problem
Ateneo powerhouse Angelo Kouame dominated the Tamaraws to the tune of 33 points and 27 rebounds, leading the champion Blue Eagles to a vengeful win.

Another week, another UAAP Season 81 By the Numbers.

So let's not waste too much time and effort and go right to it, shall we?

Okay then.

1

Total number of UAAP triple-doubles in this decade.

UP's Juan Gomez de Liano recorded the first UAAP triple-double since 2006, finishing with 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists in win against UE.

Gomez de Liano is the first UAAP player to score a triple-double since Marvin Cruz in 2006. Since 2003, only three players have recorded a triple-double in the UAAP, the other one is Ateneo's LA Tenorio in 2005.

1

Total number of wins by the Adamson Falcons against De La Salle since Franz Pumaren took over as head coach.

As the Falcons beat the Green Archers in the second round of Season 81, coach Franz finally got a win against the school he led to multiple UAAP titles years ago.

2

Total number of 30-20 games in the UAAP since 2003.

Ateneo powerhouse Angelo Kouame dominated the Tamaraws to the tune of 33 points and 27 rebounds, leading the champion Blue Eagles to a vengeful win.

It's the first 30-20 game in UAAP since Rabeh Al-Hussaini scored 33 points and grabbed 20 rebounds in an Ateneo loss to the Tamaraws in 2008.

1

Number of games separating FEU, La Salle, UST, and UP for two Final Four slots.

Defending champion Ateneo and Adamson have a firm hold on the twice-to-beat advantages in the playoffs, leading all teams with identical 7-2 records.

FEU and La Salle follow suit with 5-4 records while the Tigers and the Maroons are not far behind with 4-5 cards.

Things could get interesting down the stretch.

2

Total points scored by La Salle in the first quarter against Adamson, lowest in the UAAP since 2003.

The Falcons previously scored three points against NU in a loss four years ago.

The Green Archers lost Adamson, 50-57.
