UAAP 81 By the Numbers: Champion Eagles make a statement
The champion Eagles made sure to return the favor against Adamson in a fantastic defensive performance.

The UAAP went to the mountains this past weekend. It was fun.

What's also fun is By the Numbers. Here's a new edition for all of you.

Total points scored by no. 2 Adamson in its loss to no. 1 Ateneo.

It's the lowest output by the Soaring Falcons under head coach Franz Pumaren. In a battle of the league's top-2 teams, Adamson's offense was just no match to the impeccable defense of the reigning UAAP champions.

Number of teams already assured of a Final Four spot in UAAP Season 81.

It's Ateneo.

The champion Blue Eagles currently lead all teams with a 10-2 mark. Adamson is second at 8-3 while La Salle is at third with a 7-4 record.

50 percent

Final 3-point percentage for the FEU Tamaraws in the win against UE.

That's the highest percentage this season with a minimum of 15 attempts. The Tamaraws shot 15/30 from beyond the arc to get that crucial win over the Red Warriors.

53 percent

Final shooting percentages for both UP and DLSU against separate opponents, best in Season 81 so far.

The Fighting Maroons narrowly edge out the Green Archers as they shot 53.62 percent from the field in the win over NU. La Salle beat UST by shooting 53.52 percent overall.

Average winning margin by La Salle over UST in the last three seasons.

The Green Archers demolished the Growling Tigers by 41 in Antipolo as they continue to hold on to third place in the standings.

41 points is the second highest margin of victory in the UAAP since 2003. 43 points is the highest and it was recorded in Season 79 when La Salle destroyed UST.
