UP's Diego Dario sat out in their last game versus UST due to a neck injury
Super-senior Diego Dario missed the University of the Philippines' latest game versus University of Santo Tomas Sunday due to a neck injury he sustained during a team practice.
"I accidentally got hit sa neck sa practice," Dario told ABS-CBN Sports.
With this, the services of the steady backup point guard were missed in their second to the last game of the eliminations, as he was confined in the hospital and needed to undergo all precautionary tests.
"I did CT scan, X-ray, and duplex ultrasound," he said.
"I was in his hospital room yesterday, and we’re just waiting on the clearance for him to play on Wednesday. Those are just precautionary tests that he had to undergo," shared coach Bo Perasol after their game.
Regardless, the rest of the Fighting Maroons still eked out an 83-69 victory, bringing them closer to their Final Four dreams.
Fortunately, as of press time, all tests have cleared Dario of any further complications.
He will most likely see action in their last elimination round game versus De La Salle University on Wednesday.
