Alvin Pasaol will average 22.9 points in UAAP Season 81 - even if he goes scoreless in UE's last game
University of the East’s campaign in the UAAP 81 Men’s Basketball Tournament hasn’t gone as planned.
Still, Alvin Pasaol has done the best to make the most of it.
After the first round of eliminations, the burly forward was on pace for a second straight selection to the Mythical Team.
And on Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum, he assured himself of having the highest scoring average for a single player in a single season since 2003.
With 24 points, Pasaol will average 22.9 points through the season – even if he goes scoreless in their last game against National University.
That mark will be better than the 22.2 average Terrence Romeo set five years ago.
And with UE trudging through another season spent at the bottom of the standings, the third-year offensive dynamo said he would take anything, anything at all, that could up their morale.
That doesn’t mean, however, that the Red Warriors aren’t determined to take down the Bulldogs a week from now. Ipu-push pa rin naming manalo pa rin para memorable pa rin yung last game,” he said.
