The Fighting Maroons have the chance to end their streak of missed Final Fours this year and they'll advance outright, as the no. 3 seed, if they beat La Salle to end the elimination round.
It's almost time for the Final Four and so, here's the latest By the Numbers for UAAP Season 81 basketball.
Scoring average for UE's Alvin Pasaol even if he goes scoreless in the Red Warriors' final game against NU.
That breaks Terrence Romeo's mark for the highest scoring average by a local since UAAP stats were computerized in 2003.
Final scoring average of UST super rookie CJ Cansino.
Unfortunately, Cansino suffered a season-ending ACL injury in UST's loss to UP over the weekend. Still, young CJ averaged a double-double in a sensational opening campaign for the Growling Tigers.
On top of scoring nearly 13 points per outing, Cansino averaged 10.3 rebounds and 3.6 assists in his rookie campaign. See you next year, CJ.
Total wins so far for the Adamson Falcons, most in the Franz Pumaren era.
After locking up a twice-to-beat edge, the Falcons now go for win no. 11 and momentum heading into the Final Four.
Consecutive years of losing seasons for the UP Fighting Maroons.
UP now has seven wins, which means they'll be at least a .500 team by the time the regular season ends. The last time they reached seven wins in a season was in 2004.
The last time UP made the Final Four in men's basketball.
The Fighting Maroons have the chance to end that streak this year and they'll advance outright, as the no. 3 seed, if they beat La Salle to end the elimination round.
Total points for NU's John Lloyd Clemente against FEU.
That's the most points scored by a Bulldog since 2003 and the highest scoring mark for this season.
It's also tied for the 3rd most points in a single game since 2003.
