Ateneo plays first game sans Padrigao in UAAP 81 Jrs.
Kai Sotto will have to do even heavier lifting with Forthsky Padrigao out for the rest of the first round

Games on Sunday at the Blue Eagle Gym

9:00 AM – Adamson vs Ateneo

11:00 AM – UPIS vs UST

1:00 PM – NU vs DLSZ

3:00 PM – UE vs FEU-Diliman

Kai Sotto will not have partner-in-crime Forthsky Padrigao for the rest of the first round in the UAAP 81 Juniors Basketball Tournament.

That adjustment may just be the opening Adamson High School needs to shock the Blue Eaglets in the middle of the Blue Eagle Gym in Quezon City on Sunday.

The defending champions (1-0) will have to lean on towering teen Kai Sotto even more as it tries to overcome the absence of injured court general Padrigao and then outplay the Joem Sabandal-led Baby Falcons (1-0) starting at 9:00 AM.

Hoping to tie either Ateneo or Adamson atop the leaderboard will be Nazareth School of National University (1-0) and De La Salle Zobel (1-0) who figure in their own showdown at 1:00 PM.

There will also be matchups between the Far Eastern University-Diliman Baby Tamraws (0-1) and the University of the East Junior Warriors (0-1) at 3:00 PM as well as the University of Sto. Tomas Tiger Cubs (0-1) and the University of the Philippines Integrated School Junior Maroons (0-1) at 11:00 AM.
