Ateneo de Manila High School and Nazareth School of National University, both favorites, remain the pacesetters in the early going of the 81st Season of the UAAP Juniors Basketball Tournament.
The Blue Eaglets and the Bullpups hope to stay there up against separate foes at the Blue Eagle Gym in Quezon City.
Of course, that’s easier said than done as they will be challenged by two more fellow playoff hopefuls.
Kai Sotto looks to lead Ateneo (2-0) to a third win in a row even as RJ Abarrientos and Far Eastern University-Diliman (1-1) look to upset them at 1:00 PM.
NU (2-0) hopes to do the same behind Batang Gilas stalwarts Terrence Fortea and Carl Tamayo even as Mark Nonoy-led University of Sto. Tomas (1-1) hope to upend them at 9:00 AM.
In the day’s other games, Adamson High School (1-1) and De La Salle Zobel (1-1) are out to get back on track up against University of the East (0-2) at 11:00 AM and University of the Philippines Integrated School (0-2) at 3:00 PM, respectively.
