3:30 PM – UP vs Adamson

History will be made either way in the knockout bout between second-seed Adamson University and third-seed University of the Philippines in the UAAP 81 Men’s Basketball Tournament Final Four.

Either the Soaring Falcons will put an end to a 26-year absence in the championship round or the Fighting Maroons will put a stop to a Finals drought that has been ongoing since 1986 in their semifinals showdown in the middle of the Araneta Coliseum floor on Wednesday.

Adamson hopes to avoid another letdown while UP hopes to accomplish another takedown starting at 3:30 PM. As always, all of the action will be on S+A, S+A HD, livestream, and iWant.ph.

Last Saturday, State U set up a knockout bout after sending off its opponent’s twice-to-beat advantage with a 73- 71 win.

Now, the Fighting Maroons are out for a repeat with Season MVP Bright Akhuetie, Mythical selection Juan Gomez de Liano, and team captain Paul Desiderio showing the way once more.

Of course, the Soaring Falcons have something else planned and it is nothing but a certainty that head coach Franz Pumaren has Jerrick Ahanmisi, Sean Manganti, and company all ready and raring to go.
