The Nazareth School of National University Bullpups blew out the UPIS Junior Fighting Maroons, 104-54, to retain the top spot at the UAAP Season 81 Juniors' Basketball tournament Sunday at the Blue Eagle Gym.

NU dominated the whole contest, holding the lead from the first basket to the final buzzer. Last year's runner-ups led as much as 50, as Jeff Mailim put in the finishing touches with a layup with 27 ticks left.

Sharpshooter Terrence Fortea led the now 4-0 Bullpups with 23 points, including a cool 6/11 performance from beyond the arc. Ralph Labao paced the now 0-4 Junior Fighting Maroons with 19 markers, including four rebounds and assists each.

FEU-Diliman took care of business as the Baby Tamaraws gored the Adamson Baby Falcons, 75-60, in the second contest of the day.

The Baby Tams, who have won their third contest in four outings, were down double-digits in the opening quarter before mustering  a 19-8 run to take the 33-32 lead, courtesy of Chiolo Añunuevo's jumper.

From that point on, the boys from Diliman never looked back and held off every comeback attempt the Baby Falcons mounted.

Royce Alforque led the charge with 18 points and eight rebounds for FEU-Diliman, while Joem Sabandal spearheaded Adamson's offense with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Rookie Mark Nonoy dazzled for the UST Tiger Cubs once more as they clawed the UE Junior Red Warriors, 70-60.

The 18-year-old one-and-done prospect guard scored 25 points as the España-based squad go to an even 2-2 for the season. Winless UE was led by Shane Dichoso's 26 markers as they sink to 0-4.

In the final game of the day, defending champions Ateneo Blue Eaglets defeated De La Salle Santiago-Zobel Junior Archers, 69-54.

The home team scored their third win in a wire-to-wire decision, leading by as much by 25 points, 69-44, following a triple by Angelo David.

David ended the contest with the most points scored from either team with 20. His teammate, Kai Sotto tallied 11 markers, 13 boards, five assists, and three blocked shots.

Jac Macasaet led the 2-2 Junior Archers with 18 points on 63-percent shooting.
