According to coach Franz himself, he will keep wearing the Adamson blue and white
Franz Pumaren is in Adamson University to stay.
Amidst questions about his status, the multi-titled mentor had but one categorical statement. “I’m here for the long haul,” he said in a text message.
Recently, there have been rumblings about whether or not Coach Franz was still the head coach of the Soaring Falcons.
Apparently, this stems from the fact that his original three-year contract has already expired.
According to several sources closely monitoring the situation, however, both the school and the veteran tactician are just a few minor revisions away from a new agreement.
The same sources furthered that Coach Franz is actually poised to sign his name on the dotted line as early as the first month of next year.
This means that he is all set to continue as Adamson mentor after compiling a 27-15 record from Seasons 79 to 81.
He led them to the playoffs all three years, but did not make it past the Final Four in any of them.
In the recently concluded season, the second-seed and twice-to-beat Soaring Falcons were toppled by the University of the Philippines.
Still, the five-time collegiate champion coach has rebuilt the San Marcelino-based squad into a contender all while revealing hidden gems in the likes of Jerrick Ahanmisi, Jerom Lastimosa, and Sean Manganti.
