Desiderio, who came to UP-Diliman from his humble roots in Cebu, became the catalyst of the Fighting Maroons' incredible rise from cellar dwellers into Finalists in the UAAP season 81 men's basketball tournament.
Kapamilya celebrity Ronnie Alonte will star as the UP hero, whose prominence took off when he claimed and drained a game-winning three-pointer against UST in UAAP season 80.
The shot would eventually kickstart UP basketball's resurgence and turn Desiderio into a cult hero, propelled by his iconic 'Atin 'To' quote that became a battlecry for the Fighting Maroons.
Desiderio has since turned pro after playing out his Final year with UP. He was drafted in the 2018 PBA Draft, and is set to suit up for Blackwater Elite in the 2019 PBA Philippine Cup.
The episode will air on January 19 at 8:30 p.m. on ABS-CBN channel 2.
