UAAP 81: Arado vows adjustment after UP avoids her in opener
Kaso hirap talaga ako kanina, dulo-dulo ginagawa nila [UP]. Di naman ako The Flash para makuha yung dulo,” Arado said.

One thing the University of the East Lady Warriors can take full pride in for UAAP Season 81 is the fact that they have the no. 1 libero in Kath Arado.

Opponents should be smart enough to figure out that you avoid Kath Arado at all costs when you send the ball to UE’s way.

The Lady Maroons of the University of the Philippines sure looked like they avoided Arado Saturday to start the women’s volleyball tournament.

Why you ask? That’s because Arado herself felt it.

“Oo totoo, yung mga last two sets ata wala talaga ako natanggap na bola,” Arado said.

Wala. Talaga napupunta sakin. Pinapagod talaga nila [UP] yung dalawang open namin,” she added.

As a libero, nothing could be more irritating than not getting balls to receive. It’s also quite disheartening to see your wing spikers deal with the burden of digging spikes.

Arado promises to do better next time and adds that the Lady Warriors will deal with that opposing strategy as a team.

Di lang talaga mapunta sakin yung bola, ewan ko ba,” she said.

Kaso hirap talaga ako kanina, dulo-dulo ginagawa nila [UP]. Di naman ako The Flash para makuha yung dulo,” Arado added.
