Lady Falcons down Tigresses, go 4-0
Defending champion Adamson University walloped University of Sto. Tomas in four innings for a 4-0 slate.

Defending champion Adamson University needed only four innings to dispose University of Santo Tomas in abbreviated fashion, 14-0, to stay perfect Monday in the UAAP Season 81 softball tournament Monday at the Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium.
       
Arianne Vallestero came through four RBIs and three hits while Krisha Cantor, Mary Joy Magual and Nichole Padasas each had two RBIs the Lady Falcons reasserted their might of the Tigresses in a rematch of last year's Finals, extending their undefeated run to four games.
       
Adamson University pitcher Riflayca Basa was also solid, strucking out five batters while yielding only one hit.
       
It was the third time this season that the powerhouse Lady Falcons scored more than 10 runs.
       
National University vaulted to second place at 3-1, but needed extra innings to beat De La Salle, 5-4.
       
Despite their second consecutive loss, the Lady Batters remained in the top three range with a 3-2 record.
       
UST, with its second defeat in four contests, fell in a tie with idle University of the Philippines in fourth spot.
       
University of the East, meanwhile, edged Ateneo, 5-4, to enter the win column after three successive setbacks. The Lady Eagles, who rallied from a 1-4 deficit but fell short, went down at 0-5. 
       
In baseball Sunday, Ateneo nipped De La Salle, 13-11, for its third straight victory and snatch the solo lead. UST rout NU, 16-2, while defending champion Adamson University slipped past UP, 4-1.
