Far Eastern University inched closer to completing a first round sweep after dominating Adamson University.
Far Eastern University turned to the tandem of skipper Richard Solis and Jude Garcia to do most of the damage as the Tamaraws gored Adamson University, 25-14, 25-23, 25-23, Sunday to remain unscathed in the UAAP Season 81 men’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Solis and Garcia combined for 21 of FEU’s 41 attack points to submit the Falcons in just 70 minutes and walk away with a perfect 6-0 win-loss record.
The duo finished with 12 points each while JP Bugaoan had 11 markers for the Tams, who will close their campaign on Saturday against De La Salle University. Redijohn Paler added nine points while Peter Quiel added eight.
FEU played solid net defense with 12 kill blocks, four coming from Bugaoan, to frustrate the Adamson attackers.
The Falcons absorbed their second straight defeat to slide down to 3-2 slate.
