Joshua Yerro is the third blue-chip prospect to commit to Adamson this offseason
Adamson University’s offseason is only getting better and better with another blue-chip recruit from the local pool.
Continuing to make noise in the offseason before UAAP 82, the Soaring Falcons are welcoming with open arms University of the Visayas standout Joshua Yerro. “Adamson na po ako,” he revealed on Sunday.
This, after they already clinched the commitments of Adamson HS star Joem Sabandal and Arellano HS double-double machine Aaron Fermin.
Yerro is a 6-foot-1 swingman who plays with much force on both ends.
On offense, he can bully his way inside while on defense, he can match up well with the opponents’ best wing.
A year ago in the NBTC Nationals, the now 18-year-old was the main man for the Junior Green Lancers who reached the quarterfinals. He also played in his first All-Star Game then.
Now, Yerro bolsters an Adamson backcourt fronted by Jerrick Ahanmisi and Jerom Lastimosa who are then flanked by Jonathan Espeleta and Sabandal.
While they have lost Sean Manganti and Koko Pingoy, the Soaring Falcons are making sure to restock their coffers as they try to build on their best finish in the Franz Pumaren era.
