UAAP Season 81: Tams eye second Final Four spot
Far Eastern University sets its sights on the second Final Four seat.

Far Eastern University looks to join defending champion National University in the Final Four when the Tamaraws march into battle against Adamson University on Wednesday in the UAAP Season 81 men’s volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

The Bulldogs secured the first semifinals spot with a 9-1 win-loss record atop the standing while FEU is at solo second with an 8-1 slate. A victory by the Tams in their 10:00 a.m. duel with the Falcons will hand FEU the second Final Four berth and boost its claim for a twice-to-beat advantage.

The match will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166, LIGA SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD SkyCable Channel 183, iWant and via livestream.

FEU returned in the win column last Sunday, crushing skidding University of Sto. Tomas in four sets. The Tams swept Adamson in straight sets in their first meeting.

On the other hand, the Falcons are in the no. 4 spot with a 5-4 card, just a win behind Ateneo de Manila University (6-4).

Adamson defeated University of the Philippines the last time out.

Meanwhile, UST and UP clash at 8:00 a.m. with the Tigers desperately needing a win to arrest an alarming four-game losing slump.

The Tigers slid to sixth spot with a 3-6 mark while the Fighting Maroons are on the brink of elimination with a 1-8 slate.

UST beat UP in four sets in the first round.
