UAAP Season 81: Molde remains doubtful vs. UST
Syempre mine-make sure din ng coaches na 100% ok na. Kasi ‘pag di OK baka may iba pang muscle na mapunit -- Isa Molde

Isa Molde is just taking her time to recover from a left ankle injury.

The University of the Philippines hitter was just happy to see action albeit sparingly on Saturday just a week after sustaining a scary injury.

“Syempre masaya ako kasi kahit ganoon condition ko may tiwala coaches sa akin,” said Molde.

With Molde relegated to a service specialist role, the Lady Maroons missed another option on offense as they bowed down to Far Eastern University, 21-25, 25-19, 23-25, 22-25, Saturday in the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament at the Big Dome.

The Season 78 rookie of the year played for only two sets in a relief role and was scoreless.

“Syempre mine-make sure din ng coaches na 100% ok na. Kasi ‘pag di OK baka may iba pang muscle na mapunit,” said Molde.

“’Pag pinilit talaga kasi minsan 'pag pinipilit mo ‘yun may maapektuhan talaga,” she added.

Molde, who tweaked her ankle after an awkward landing to avoid falling on top of teammate Mirgie Bautista following an attack early in the second frame in a straight sets loss to Ateneo de Manila University, skipped the Lady Maroons' five-set win over University of the East last Wednesday.

Head coach Godfrey Okumu said that they will still await the advice of their physical therapist regarding Molde’s availability in their remaining three games.

UP, which fell to a 6-5 slate for fifth spot, will take on University of Sto. Tomas on Wednesday in a crucial match in the race for a Final Four spot.

“She’s still out. We’re hoping that she might have time to play on Wednesday if it all goes well,” Okumu said. “But we have to listen to our PT, I’m not a doctor so I cannot say if she will play or not play.”

The Lady Maroons will then face National University (April 14) before closing the elimination round against Adamson University on (April 27).
