Far Eastern University seeks to keep within striking distance of idle Ateneo as it tangles with Adamson University, Thursday afternoon in the UAAP Season 81 men's football tournament.

The Tamaraws, running second with 18 points, go for a second straight win and further boost their bid to make a return trip to the Final Four in the 3:30 p.m. match with the Falcons.

The Blue Eagles continue to be on top of the table with 22 points.

In other fixtures at the FEU-Diliman pitch, defending champion University of the Philippines plays National University at 1:30 p.m., while De La Salle takes on University of the East at 9 a.m.

The Fighting Maroons and the Green Archers remain level in fourth spot with 16 points, but the Diliman-based side is still ahead via goal difference.

With 10 points, the Bulldogs are six points off the No. 4 and they need to pile up as many victorirs as they can to make it to the Final Four.

Like NU, Adamson University and UE cannot afford to drop points from now if they wanted to advance to the semifinals.  The Falcons and the Red Warriors are in joint seventh with eight points, with UE has two matches at hand.
