Josh Lazaro is said to be trading in the red and white for the blue and white
San Beda High School's trek back to the mountaintop has already met a speedbump.
The Red Cubs bid farewell to 6-foot-4 forward Josh Lazaro last Monday.
Lazaro played his first season in red and white in the NCAA 94 a year ago and put up solid numbers of 5.9 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks.
He was fresh off his first tour of duty for Batang Gilas and wasted no time showcasing the potential his athletic frame and long limbs held.
Now, however, the 16-year-old has apparently decided to continue his career elsewhere.
As per sources, the frontrunner for the tantalizing talent is Ateneo de Manila High School which will be undergoing a rebuild of its own.
If he does transfer to Katipunan, the Blue Eaglets will be getting a big boost to their efforts to move forward following the departure of 7-foot-2, 16-year-old Kai Sotto.
In such scenario, a new inside-outside pairing of Lazaro and Forthsky Padrigao will lead the new era of the blue and white.
