Ateneo de Manila University tries to enhance its chances of bagging a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four.
Secured of seats in the Final Four, Ateneo de Manila University and Adamson University now try to enhance their chances for a twice-to-beat advantage in the UAAP Season 81 men’s volleyball tournament on Saturday at the Big Dome.
The Falcons march into battle at 8:00 a.m. against De La Salle University in a duel that will air via livestream. The Blue Eagles clash with University of the East at 10:00 a.m. in a match that will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166, iWant and via livestream.
Adamson and Ateneo are tied at third to fourth with 8-4 slates and are both coming off victories that assured them of seats in the semifinals to join defending champion National University (10-1) and Far Eastern University (9-2).
The Falcons and Blue Eagles have a chance to vie for a semis advantage if they hurdle their last two assignments including a collision course against each other April 28. Either squad can forge a playoff for a twice-to-beat bonus in case of a tie at 10-4 slate or can take an outright semis incentive if the Tamaraws lose their all their remaining games.
The Green Spikers carry a 4-7 mark while the Red Warriors sport a 2-10 card.
