UAAP 81 Football: Ateneo, UP battle to remain unbeaten in R2
Katipunan rivals Ateneo de Manila and University of the Philippines go head to head to see who remains unbeaten in the second round of the UAAP Season 81 Men's Football Tournament

MATCHES on SUNDAY, APRIL 14 (FEU-Diliman)

9:00 AM – Ateneo vs UP (Men)
1:30 PM – UE vs FEU (Men)
3:30 PM – UST vs AdU (Men)

Ateneo de Manila University aims to move closer in securing a Final Four slot against defending champion University of the Philippines in the Katipunan derby, Sunday morning in the UAAP Season 81 men's football tournament at the FEU-Diliman pitch.
The Blue Eagles hope to avenge their 1-2 defeat to the Fighting Maroons in the first round in the 9 a.m. match.
In other fixtures, University of Santo Tomas seeks to keep its Final Four bid alive as it plays Adamson University at 3:30 p.m., while Far Eastern University tries to stay within distance of table-topping Ateneo against University of the East at 1:30 p.m.
The Eagles, who were idle Thursday, have 22 points, one off the second-running Tamaraws.
UP, on the other hand, remains level with De La Salle at 19 points, but the defending champions sit in third spot via superior goal difference.
The Maroons and the Green Archers are two clear of the Growling Tigers, who are in fifth place with 17 points.
Undefeated in four second round matches, UP is getting back its old form that coach Anto Gonzales hopes it will carry over in their showdown with Ateneo.
Ranged against an already-eliminated Falcons, UST cannot afford to drop points if the last season's runners-up wants to stay within distance of UP and La Salle.
FEU, for its part, won its last two matches to negate the two losses it suffered to start the second.
With four matches left, the most by any team, the Red Warriors, who currently have eight points, mathematically still have a shot of making it to the Final Four by getting maximum points they needed to advance.
UE will join National University and Adamson University in early vacation with a loss.
