Four-peat-seeking De La Salle University is out to secure at least a playoff for a Final Four twice-to-beat advantage.
Streaking defending champion De La Salle University squares off with University of the East with its eyes set on securing at least a playoff for a Final Four twice-to-beat advantage on Wednesday in the UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball tournament.
Opening serve is at 2:00 p.m. and will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166, LIGA SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD SkyCable Channel 183, iWant and via livestream.
The four-peat-seeking Lady Spikers sport a 9-3 win-loss record at second spot behind archrival Ateneo de Manila University (10-2) and half a game clear of University of Sto. Tomas (9-4).
DLSU is on a four-game winning streak and is coming off a morale-boosting domination of the Lady Eagles, 25-17, 25-23, 25-23, on April 13 before the league went on a Holy Week break.
The Lady Spikers need to win its last two assignments including the rematch of last year’s Finals against Far Eastern University on April 28 to clinch a twice-to-beat advantage outright or win one of their last two matches and hope that UST loses to National University on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Lady Warriors carry a 3-9 card and are looking for a follow up of their 25-14, 25-19, 25-22, win over Adamson University last April 13.
