La Salle will try to get back to the Final Four with several new players in tow
De La Salle University will finally reap the rewards of its transferee haul from a year ago with Filipino-Americans Jordan Bartlett, Tyrus Hill, and Kurt Lojera now poised to see action.
After serving one year of residency, ex-National University playmaker Barlett and former Adamson University energizers Hill and Lojera are ready and raring to flank the inside-outside combo of Justine Baltazar and Aljun Melecio.
Their presence is a much welcome development for the Taft-based team which, all of a sudden, has several holes to fill in the offseason.
After the graduation of longtime captain Kib Montalbo and dependable forward Santi Santillan, the team has now also moved on from gunslinger Jollo Go, workhorse Mark Dyke, and Kiwi reinforcement Taane Samuel.
Go posted per game counts of 4.5 points, Dyke normed 4.3 markers and 3.3 rebounds, and Samuel averaged 5.5 points and 3.3 boards for the green and white last season.
Bartlett and Lojera will bolster the backcourt now led by Melecio and Andrei Caracut while Hill will fortify the frontcourt now featuring Baltazar and Encho Serrano.
Also no longer with the team is seldom-used wing Miggy Corteza.
