IT’S FINAL: Alvin Pasaol not returning to revamped UE
UE has several players ready and raring to step in the big shoes left behind by Alvin Pasaol

It will be a brand new day for University of the East in the looming UAAP Season 82 as it will now be without its main man for the last three years.

Alvin Pasaol has decided that, once and for all, his time as a Red Warrior is over.

According to sources, he has not been with the team ever since the end of the previous UAAP season.

In November of last year, though, the 23-year-old declared that he will be using up his fourth and final playing year.

Pasaol posted per game counts of 24.4 points, 11.0 rebounds, 1.9 steals, and 1.0 assists a year ago. Also there, he made the Mythical Team for the second straight season.

The highest of highlights for the burly forward remains the 49-point masterpiece he put on in a losing effort to De La Salle University back in 2017.

Now, however, Pasaol has his sights set on continuing the tear he had been on for 1Bataan Risers which began in the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3.

That means that his collegiate career has come to a close.

Still, even sans its erstwhile scoring machine, UE heads into Season 82 with higher hopes as now-leader Philip Manalang will be flanked by 6-foot-9 Senegalese Alex Diakhite, former Ateneo de Manila University forward John Apacible, two-time CESAFI MVP Rey Suerte, Hope Christian High School standout Harvey Pagsanjan, defensive stopper Neil Tolentino, and Filipino-Kiwi swingman Richie Rodgers.
