Four-peat-seeking De La Salle University battles Far Eastern University for the last Final Four twice-to-beat advantage.
Three-time defending champion De La Salle University shoots for the last Final Four twice-to-beat advantage as the Lady Spikers meet Far Eastern University on Sunday at the close of the UAAP Season 81 women’s volleyball tournament elimination round at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Game time is at 4:00 p.m. and will air live on ABS-CBN S+A Channel 23, ABS-CBN S+A HD Channel 166, LIGA SkyCable Channel 86, LIGA HD SkyCable Channel 183, iWant and via livestream.
DLSU holds a 10-3 win-loss record and another win will give the Lady Spikers the twice-to-beat advantage in the semifinals against University of Sto. Tomas.
The Taft-based squad is riding the crest of its five-game winning streak and is looking to continue its mastery over the same opponent the Lady Spikers swept in the Finals series last year.
DLSU needs the victory to avoid falling into a playoff against the Tigresses (10-4) for the last Final Four advantage.
The Lady Spikers can also take the top seed if they win against the Lady Tamaraws and Ateneo de Manila University (11-2) loses to University of the East. In this scenario, DLSU will set up a Final Four showdown against FEU.
Meanwhile, the Lady Tams are already locked at no. 4 seed regardless of the result. FEU holds an 8-5 slate.
The Lady Tams are yet to win a match against DLSU since the first game of Season 78 semifinals.
