Anthony Koyfman’s final comeback tour in the UAAP ends in the Final Four.
Koyman’s Ateneo Blue Eagles got hammered in four sets by the second-ranked FEU Tamaraws in the UAAP Season 81 men’s volleyball Final Four Saturday at the MOA Arena.
The Russian-American hitter’s final line of his UAAP career? 21 points on 20 attacks.
“I’m definitely thankful to be back here again, playing with my teammates,” Koyfman said who returned to Ateneo this year after missing all of Season 80.
“I’m really grateful to be back. This season was everything for me,” he added.
After winning the UAAP title in Season 79, Koyfman’s second and final tour of duty with the Blue Eagles certainly feels a little underwhelming.
However, Season 81 remains as a pretty memorable run for Koyfman and the rest of the Ateneo crew.
“Sobrang, sobrang grateful that we are here [Final Four] and that we still managed to prove people wrong,” he said.
“I still felt that I had something to prove. Along the way, I couldn’t have done it without [my teammates],” Koyfman added.
