NU has its sights set on yet another championship in 2019
Nazareth School of National University will be taking on a new challenge as its leading men get on a new stage.
Gerry Abadiano, Terrence Fortea, Kevin Quiambao, and Carl Tamayo are all set to represent the Philippines in the 2019 FIBA 3x3 Asia Under-18 Cup in Malaysia from Thursday to Saturday.
That foursome - which composed the championship-winning core of the Bullpups in the UAAP Jrs., NBTC, Palarong Pambansa, and Asean School Games - has been seeded third in the regional meet.
This is the first time that the NU stalwarts will be in action in a 3x3 tournament.
Still, they will go all-out to make sure the country comes back with a vengeance after skipping the previous FIBA 3x3 Asia U18 Cup.
More importantly, they will go all-out to take back the golden crown Filipinos last wore in 2013.
Team Philippines will then be represented over at the Girls' Tournament by Kristine Cayabyab, Camille Clarin, Ella Fajardo, and Angelica Surada. They have been seeded eighth in their quest to regain the title the country last won two years ago.
