Tai Bundit will help train the Adamson University Lady Falcons in preparation for the UAAP Season 82 women's volleyball tournament.
Multi-titled head coach Anusorn "Tai" Bundit will be lending a hand in training the Adamson University Lady Falcons as they prepare for the UAAP Season 82 women’s volleyball tournament next year.
A source told ABS-CBN Sports that the Thai mentor, who led Ateneo de Manila University to the UAAP throne in Season 76 and 77, will handle the build-up of the squad for the next two months.
“Tai is going to train Adamson for two months first, starting on September 1,” said the source.
Lady Falcons hitter Chiarra Permentilla confirmed Bundit’s participation in Adamson’s preparation for the UAAP wars on Sunday when asked by reporters during the BanKo-Chef’s Classics match in the Premier Volleyball League Season 3 Open Conference at the FilOil Flying V Cente in San Juan.
“Siya raw po ang magti-training sa amin pero si coach Lerma Giron pa rin po ang mag-handle ng team,” said Permentilla, who is still recovering from a knee injury.
The source who is privy to Bundit and Adamson’s deal added that the management will make a formal announcement about the development.
Adamson U replaced Air Padda after three games in UAAP Season 81 with Onyok Getigan.
Getigan skipped calling the shots for the Lady Falcons in the PVL Collegiate Conference because of personal reasons.
Bundit, who is currently the head coach of PVL club team Creamline, steered the Lady Eagles to the UAAP throne in 2014 and 2015 and led Ateneo to four Finals appearances in five years as mentor.
With Adamson, Bundit will work with a team laden with young talents in rookies setter Louie Romero, hitters Lucille Almonte and Rizza Cruz and sophomore Trisha Genesis.
