Jordan Bartlett is already doing good off the court even as he is still gearing up to do good on it
With a week to go before his debut for De La Salle University in UAAP Season 82, Jordan Bartlett is already dishing dimes.
The transferee shared his time and talent to 50 underpriveleged kids in a one-day outreach at Paraiso ng Batang Maynila Covered Court in Manila last Sunday.
There, Bartlett got assists for teaching the youth about the basics of basketball before giving out school supplies. "This is an amazing, fulfilling feeling. With every outreach, I'm reminded even more of how resilient these kieds are," he shared.
Indeed, this is only the beginning of many more outreaches as the incoming first-year playmaker of the Green Archers has actually partnered with the PUSO (Purposeful Unconditional Service to Others) Foundation started by good friend and old teammate Robert Banez.
Not only that, he has actually been named as the program's executive director.
This is all because Bartlett believes in PUSO Foundation's goals of providing hope with a purpose and empowering those living in undeserved areas throughout the world. "In the next five years, we plan to establish the first PUSO School and by 2025, we want to establish the first PUSO Medical Mission," he said.
Even more, the 22-year-old is hoping to influence many more to also share their time and talent. As he put it, "There are so many people out there that have a lot less than we do, yet they seem to carry themselves with so much joy and passion. This is a really humbling experience we want others to have as well."
