How about that for UAAP’s opening week?

Season 82 started off with a bang and three game days in, things are already going crazy as all eight teams are trying to get a head start over everybody else.

We got numbers from the wild opening week so let’s get done to business. This UAAP season is going to be a good one.

Total undefeated teams left in UAAP Season 82, yes only two.

At the end of opening week, two-time defending champion Ateneo stamped its class with two big wins over Adamson and La Salle.

Meanwhile, UST dominated both UE and UP to go undefeated as well.

The champion Blue Eagles and the Growling Tigers start week 2 tomorrow with an early clash for solo first place.

Incredible highlight dunks in Week 1.

Ricci Rivero’s alley-oop slam to announce his UAAP return and Jamie Malonzo‘s power dunk over Thirdy to introduce himself to the rest of the field.

Yep, this season will be fun.

Total number of Blue Eagles that finished with career-high numbers agains rival La Salle

Big Mike Nieto led the champs with 18 points and Gian Mamuyac added 14, both shining for Ateneo as Thirdy Ravena and Angelo Kouame both struggled from the field.

The Blue Eagles are already loaded and their next man up style will be trouble for the rest of the UAAP.

95

Total points for UST in the win against UE. 95 points is the most for the Growling Tigers in the Aldin Ayo era so far.

After that rousing opening win, UST dropped another 85 points on the Maroons and the Tigers are roaring to start UAAP Season 82

Scoring average of UST newcomer Rhenz Abando after two games.

The transferee from Philippine College of Science and Technology in Pangasinan announced his arrival with a 22-point output, including five triples, in UST's 95-82 victory over UE last Wednesday.

The Growling Tigers' "Probinsiyano" then came  off the bench with 12 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the 85 - 69 victory over UP.

11

Total points for Ricci Rivero in two games for UP.

Save for that nice opening slam, Ricci has been underperforming so far for Diliman.

Rivero is shooting a combined 4/25 from the field and has more turnovers (7) than made shots and assists (5).
