And just like that, Week 2 of UAAP Season 82 men’s basketball is over.

UAAP Season 82 had all the quality games to start and after a wild opening week, the past three games days have only kept the momentum going.

WIth that being said, it’s time for another edition of UAAP By the Numbers.

1

Number of undefeated teams remaining in the UAAP.

The defending champion Blue Eagles started the week right with a quality win against UST with a 71-70 decision. That game reduced the number of unbeaten teams from two to one.

Ateneo then got a weekend victory over FEU and the champs stand alone on top with a clean 4-0 record.

The Tigers are right behind with a 3-1 mark.

Total games decided by one point in UAAP Season 82.

Season 82 is only two weeks in. The Ateneo-UST, UE-DLSU, and UP-Adamson games all happened in the last three playdates.

Season 81 had a total of four games decided by one point.

20

Total points for Kobe Paras in his debut game in the UAAP.

Kobe led the Fighting Maroons with 20 points, six rebounds, one steal, and two blocks against Adamson. UP got the win in OT.

Not too bad for Paras’ first game.

46

Total points for the FEU Tamaraws in the loss to Ateneo.

The Tams got shut down by the champs and 46 points is the lowest output by any team so far this season.

1

Game-winner for UE’s Rey Suerte.

Suerte drilled back-to-back triples for the Red Warriors and his final clutch shot from deep pushed UE to a pulsating 89-88 win over La Salle.

The Red Warriors got 31 points and a win courtesy of Suerte.

It must be the name.
