ANTIPOLO - Andrei Caracut and De La Salle University are back on track in the UAAP 82 Men's Basketball Tournament.
By bringing down Adamson University, Saturday at Ynares Center here, the Green Archers barged back into the win column
Just as important, though, Caracut was nothing but happy to see them enjoying again. "Sabi ko lang sa kanila kanina before ng game, nandito tayo para i-enjoy ang laro ng basketball. Nakita ko kasi after ng UE and FEU game, may pressure talaga," he shared.
He then continued, "Nandito na rin kami sa La Salle e. Dream namin maglaro rito kaya siyampre, yung pride and passion sa paglalaro, madadala namin sa game."
The Taft-based team was on a two-game slide after being at the wrong end of a game-winner for University of the East and then being at the wrong end of a rout by Far Eastern University.
This time around, though, they were firing on all cylinders and ultimately found a way through a Soaring Falcon side coming off a comeback win against University of Sto. Tomas. "Tingin ko sa game kanina, nag-enjoy kami," their team captain said.
And for Caracut, that is exactly what La Salle has to do if it is to keep up with this momentum.
To do just that, the graduating skipper is calling on his teammates to drown out the noise and just continue trusting one another. "Unang-una, wala akong pakialam sa mga sinasabi ng iba so sinasabi ko rin sa (teammates ko), forget the outside noise," he said.
He then continued, "Alam ko maraming doubters, pero wala kaming paki dun. Yung paki namin, yung sarili namin, yung team namin."
