Round 1 of the UAAP Season 82 men’s basketballl tournament is heating up.

Another week ending in the UAAP means it’s time for a new edition of By the Numbers.

Let’s get into it right away.

7

Total wins for Aldin Ayo as a UAAP head coach against FEU following Sunday’s victory by UST.

Total wins for the Tamaraws against Ayo? Zero.

82

Total points by UST against FEU, the most given up by the Tamaraws this season, the Tams are the no. 2 team on defense so far just behind champion Ateneo.

UST’s total output is close to its season average of 81.67 points per game. The Growling Tigers are the no. 1 offense in the UAAP.

24

Total blocks for Ateneo’s Angelo Kouame.

Kouame has more blocks on his own than six UAAP teams. Only Adamson as a team has more blocks than the Ateneo center.

21

Winning margin for Ateneo against NU.

The Bulldogs didn’t have to deal with a one-point loss or an overtime loss this time around as the Blue Eagles showed who’s boss on their way to a clean 5-0 record.

16

Consecutive points for the Falcons to end their game against UST.

Adamson stole a win from the Growling Tigers thanks to that sizzling run in the fourth quarter. Too bad the Falcons dropped the ball in the follow up against La Salle.
