ANTIPOLO — With the Final Four race heating up in the UAAP Season 82 men’s basketball tournament heating up, FEU-La Salle Saturday here was a crucial one.

The Tamaraws and the Green Archers entered the game inside the top-5 and the winner was to take over solo fourth place.

Due to major playoff implications, FEU considered this game as a do-or-die showdown.

By smashing the Green Archers, the Tamaraws just essentially won their first do-or-die game of the season.

“Our mentality was to treat this game as a do-or-die,” head coach Olsen Racela said.

“We have three games left [including La Salle], and all those games are do-or-die games for us if we want to make it to the Final Four,” he added.

The Tamaraws are at 6-6 now after the win over the Green Archers.

FEU wraps up the elimination round with games against Adamson and UE. The Tamaraws’ playoff chances depend on those last two games.

“That’s why ganun ang aming sense of urgency, we played possession by possesion,” Racela said.

“They [Tams] really followed that mentality today, kaya we came out victorious. No reason to celebrate, dikit-dikit 2-6 di ba? Every win is important,” he added.
