How about them Tigers?

UST continues to growl in the UAAP Season 82 Final Four, erasing no. 2 UP’s twice-to-beat advantage to force a direct knockout this week for the right to challenge defending champion Ateneo in the Finals.

The Growling Tigers are rolling, and the set up for Wednesday’s do-or-die clash is a perfect way to make a quick By the Numbers pit stop now.

You know, before things get crazy in two days.

12

Total assists for UST guard Renzo Subido Sunday against UP.

The Maroons had 12 as a whole team.

4

Total triples for Sherwin Concepcion in the win, hitting a couple in the second half as UP tried to make a run at it.

The Maroons hit only three triples as a whole team.

51

Total bench points for the Growling Tigers. UP? Only 25.

80

Total playoff minutes for UST so far in Season 82 and the Growling Tigers were leading for 78 minutes and 55 seconds or 98.6 percent of the time.

UST has never trailed in the Final Four this year.

20

UST’s winning margin over UP to erase the Maroons’ twice-to-beat edge.

Add their win over FEU and the Growling Tigers have won back-to-back knockout games by a combined 30 points.

3

Total wins by UST over UP this season. Both schools have played three official games.

9

Total points for Kobe Paras, his lowest this season.

Kobe’s worst game came at the worst timing as UP has lost its playoff bonus. It’s the first time Paras missed scoring in double figures this season.

13

Total points for Soulemane Chabi Yo in the fourth quarter.

The MVP saved his best for last against UP and was near unstoppable as the Growling Tigers used a strong fourth-quarter stand to keep the Maroons at bay.
