The University of the Philippines did not, and will not, stop bo-lieving.
Bo Perasol has a new contract that lets him continue as head coach of the Fighting Maroons.
Team management and Coach Bo themselves made the announcement, Saturday.
Under the always amiable mentor, State U went from 13-113 in 2008-2015 to 28-29 in 2016-2019.
In those four years, the Diliman-based squad improved its win total year-on-year and registered one Finals appearance and two playoff berths.
It was also under Coach Bo's stewardship that UP made big splashes by getting big fish in the form of Gomez de Liano brothers Javi and Juan, Jun Manzo, Bright Akhuetie, Ricci Rivero, and Kobe Paras.
It remains to be seen if the GDLs will remain in maroon and green, but former MVP Akhuetie has already committed to playing out his third and final year.
Rivero and Paras, meanwhile, have not said anything in particular even as Manzo - as well as Janjan Jaboneta, Pio Longa, Jerson Prado, and Jaydee Tungcab - has already graduated.
