The University of the Philippines' offensive arsenal will still be filled to the brim in this year's UAAP Men's Basketball Tournament.

Already loaded with weapons, the Fighting Maroons have gotten for themselves even more firepower in the form of RC Calimag.

The 6-foot-2 swingman had always been a threat from his time in San Beda High School to De La Salle Zobel as well as his stint in Batang Gilas, but emerged as a force in his last year in La Salle Green Hills.

Once known for his patented jumper from the elbow, Calimag extended his range and totaled 51 triples in 123 attempts for an impressive 41.5 percent clip.

That, to go along with averages of 20.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists turned him into an more fearsome offensive weapon.

The 19-year-old will, without a doubt, be ready and raring to answer the call whenever the Fighting Maroons will be searching for a spark.

In fact, De La Salle University was hoping to add just that to its bench, but Calimag decided to take his talents to Diliman as it was, in his eyes, the "best school for his career and his academics."

"Nakikilala na po ang UP para sa basketball," he shared. "Pero alam naman natin lahat na mas kilala pa rin ang UP pagdating sa pag-aaral."
