The University of the Philippines star after a good run in his first season with the Fighting Maroons is currently on the grind for the movie ‘Happy Times’ with teen stars Heaven Peralejo and Sharlene San Pedro.
Rivero, a Virtual Playground talent, has been very vocal about his interest to explore the world of showbiz which his legion of fans have been patiently waiting.
Despite his venture into showbiz, numerous endorsement gigs and other commitments, Rivero still manages to take care of his studies and train with the Fighting Maroons as they prepare for UAAP Season 83.
His return into acting is just Rivero’s way of giving back to his supporters who stuck by him throughout his fruitful basketball and budding showbiz career.
“When you do something to make others happy and entertained it gives you that sense of fulfillment, kasi sa simpleng paraan nasusuklian ko yung pagmamahal na walang-sawa nilang binibigay sa akin. Be it on and off the court, hindi nila ako iniiwan,” said Rivero.
It has been two years since his acting debut in the 2018 Metro Manila Film Festival for the movie ‘Otlum’.
After his first movie, Rivero had to set aside several offers from different film companies and TV networks to do teleseryes and more movies, to concentrate on his commitment with the Fighting Maroons.
