Adamson University has been a constant contender in UAAP Men's Volleyball.
That won't be changing in UAAP Season 82 even if they had just lost stalwarts Paolo Pablico and Mark Alvarez.
And that's because the Soaring Falcons vow to keep going all-out.
"This season, malaki nga yung nawala sa amin kina Pablico at Alvarez kaya nag-adjust kami na may papalit sa kanila," newly named captain Leo Miranda said.
He then continued, "Tapos katulad lang din ng ginagawa namin nung nakaraan, pareho pa rin ang preparation. Ngayon lang, triniplehan namin yung effort at saka yung sacrifices."
According to the outside hitter, that so-called tripled effort will be much evident in Adamson's floor defense - the part of the game that the school has long taken pride in.
"'Di kami katangkaran kaya babawiin namin sa depensa namin. Kung papahirapan kami ng kalaban sa atake nila, papahirapan din namin sila sa depensa," he shared.
He then continued, "Yun yung every year gusto ni coach Domeng [Custodio] makuha. Bilog ang bola, pero pag nandun yung depensa, mas mahihirapan yung kalaban, mas malaki yung chance naming manalo."
Even more, Miranda has full faith their defense will lead them to victory - especially as it had long been established and reinforced and they are heading into the collegiate wars with the most intact lineup.
As he put it, "Nakikita namin yung team naming mas mature kesa iba kasi sa amin, dalawa lang yung nawala. Yung maturity ng team ang magiging bentahe namin."
