UAAP 82: FEU preaches patience as Lady Tams take on new season

"One step at a time lang, patience." — Lycha Ebon.
Losing an MVP candidate in Bernadeth Pons right after you made a breakthrough Finals appearance can be tough on a program.
Still, the FEU Lady Tamaraws did quite well for themselves last season, earning a trip to the Final Four and pushing no. 1 and eventual champion Ateneo to the brink of elimination.
As the league's winningest program turns its attention to UAAP Season 82, the goal is still the same: just win.
But as the Lady Tamarwas enter the new year with a retooled lineup, patience will be a virtue.
"One step at a time. Sabi nga ni coach, before pumunta ng Finals, focus muna namin ang Final Four. Pero before kami mag-Final Four, syempre may mga tatalunin pa kaming teams," the returning Lycha Ebon said.
"One step at a time lang, patience," she added.
With a handful of new players coming in, the Lady Tamaraws are playing the long game, no team in the near future will catch up to their 29 UAAP titles anyway.
However, that doesn't mean that FEU won't go for a title now. It's a battle from start to finish in Season 82.
"Gusto ko lang mag-exit na maayos yung team," captain Angel Cayuna said.
"Gusto ko maparamdam sa mga bata na hindi namin sila iniwan, lumaban kami hanggang dulo," she added.
