Nazareth School of National University and Far Eastern University-Diliman as well as Adamson High School and University of Sto. Tomas will play Game 2 of their respective HS Basketball Finals series on Monday behind closed doors.
The UAAP made the move in light of the continued presence of COVID-19 in the country. "Due to recent developments, particularly in the city of San Juan where Game 2 of the Boys and Girls Finals are scheduled to be held, we will be holding tomorrow's event 'closed door,'" it said in a statement.
The Bullpups try to close out the Baby Tamaraws at 3:00 p.m. while the Tigresses try to topple the Baby Lady Falcons at 12:00 p.m. at Filoil Flying V Centre. In between, awarding ceremonies for the tournament's top players will also be held. The Boys game will air live on S+A, S+A HD, LIGA, LIGA HD, iWant and via livestream.
Last Friday, a new case of COVID-19 was reported in San Juan.
With that, the UAAP is taking precautionary measures and will only allow those with league IDs inside the venue for Game 2 of the HS Basketball Finals.
