UAAP goes big as five forwards stand tall in Mythical Team

Four teams went big in the UAAP 82 Boys Basketball Tournament and all of them are going home with trophies.

Season MVP Jake Figueroa of Adamson High School was flanked by four other forwards as the Mythical Team was heralded in the tournament's awarding ceremonies, Monday at Filoil Flying V Centre.

MVP runner-up Josh Lazaro was, of course, there on the back of his per game counts of 13.3 points, 13.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.0 blocks.

Also right there with them was another Ateneo de Manila University forward in Lebron Lopez who put up per game counts of 16.2 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks.

Completing the Mythical 5 were then Nazareth School of National University's Kevin Quiambao who averaged 12.6 points, 9.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists,  and 1.4 blocks and the University of the Philippines Integrated School's Aldous Torculas who normed 11.6 markers, 15.2 boards, 3.5 dimes, 2.3 steals, and 2.3 rejections.

The five players lapped the field in terms of Statistical Points (SPs) and sixth-running Bismarck Lina of University of Sto. Tomas is himself a big.

The top guards wound up at seventh and ninth in the form of UPIS' Ray Allen Torres and Far Eastern University-Diliman's Penny Estacio, respectively.
