You'll never guess Thirdy Ravena's favorite foe in the UAAP

Despite a rough start to his career in the UAAP, Thirdy Ravena ended up building an all-time resume with the Ateneo Blue Eagles.

Thirdy left Katipunan as a three-time champion and a three-time Finals MVP. Along the way, his Blue Eagles faced some great competition.

From Aldin Ayo's two teams with La Salle and UST to the emerging UP Fighting Maroons, Thirdy and Ateneo faced and beat them all, especially during the Blue Eagles' three-peat run until Season 82.

Appearing on Extra Rice with Beau Belga, Thirdy listed his top competition in the UAAP and the usual suspects appeared.

"First year ko, Jeron [Teng] siguro. First and second year actually," Ravena said as he started listing names.

"Si Kobe [Paras], Ricci [Rivero], at si Juan [Gomez de Liano]. Yung tatlong yun," he added, referring to the UP trio.

However, Thirdy also mentioned one name that could be surprising to most people.

Ravena had high praises to Ron Dennison, the pesky guard for the FEU Tamaraws. After the UAAP, Dennison was drafted into the PBA by Phoenix and was recently traded to Blackwater.

"Si Ron, siya yung favorite ko talaga," Thirdy said.

"Kasi kada game tirahan at trash talk talaga. Walang bibigay eh, talagang patigasan hanggang sa huli. Dun ka lang makakahinga. Buong laro para kang back against the wall," Ravena added.
