Nazareth School of National University has ridden its trademark total team effort to back-to-back championships in the UAAP Boys Basketball Tournament.
Safe to say, Bullpup Kevin Quiambao knows full well the power of working together and winning together.
That is exactly why Quiambao, at just 19-years-old, influenced his family and friends to get together and give back to their neighborhood frontliners in the continuing COVID-19 crisis.
Last Wednesday, the 6-foot-8 big man pooled together funds from out of his own pocket as well as from the generosity of his loved ones to purchase packed meals for officials in his hometown Muntinlupa. "Gusto ko lang pong mai-share yung blessings na binigay ni God sa akin at makatulong po sa kapwa," he said.
The packed meals included spicy pork ribs, a boiled egg, rice, and cup of coffee.
Quiambao helped out as well in the preparation of the dinner for frontliners.
And he himself went around Brgy. Bayanan to distribute them.
In the end, the teen champion is nothing but grateful for being able to give back. "Sobrang sarap po sa pakiramdam na makatulong sa kahit konting paraan lang," he said.
