University of the Philippines basketball star Ricci Rivero and is family continue to give back to their kababayans in Isabela.

Since the enhanced community quarantine was implemented in the entire island of Luzon, the University of the Philippines' Ricci Rivero and his family went back home to Isabela.

But the Rivero family did not just sit back and wait for the quarantine to end in the comfort of their ancestral home.

For the past month, Rivero, together with brothers Prince and Rasheed, father and Nazareth School of National University assistant coach Paolo, and good friend John Vic De Guzman, have been going around the province to distribute relief goods to the medical frontliners and the people in need in the province.

On Thursday, Ricci and his brothers went back to Iligan to give thanks to the barangay officials and community volunteers there, as well as people affected by the work stoppage caused by the ECQ.

Each relief pack he distributed included 10-kilograms of rice, instant noodles, packs of coffee and sugar, cupcakes, and bottles of Gatorade.

“It's been a while since I stayed in Isabela this long since I came to Manila, kaya I wanted to maximize the chance to give back and support my kababayans here who needs help kahit sa simpleng paraan," shared 21-year-old Fighting Maroon Ricci.

Last April 7, the Riveros gave back to the street frontliners of Iligan. Then last April 23, they donated respiratory care and hygiene essentials to the medical staff of Dr. Villaroman Hospital and Isabela Doctors Hospital, the latter the hospital he and his family have been going to since he was a young kid.

And the Riveros vow to continue giving back to their home province in their own little way.
