Aljun Melecio is safe and sound with his family in Bukdinon.
De La Salle University's graduating guard has been in his hometown for more than a month now.
Still, the distance proved to be no matter for his helping hands. "Siyempre, gusto nating tumulong sa kanila dahil sa sacrifices nila. Mahirap ang ginagawa nila para sa atin e," he said.
Over the weekend, Melecio shared 24 cases of Gatorade to healthcare workers in Manila.
Some went to Manila Medical Hospital.
Some went to Tondo General Hospital.
And some went to Ambucare.
Make no mistake, though, the 23-year-old did not forget Bukidnon as he also distributed packed meals and energy drinks to frontliners in Valencia City.
Of course, Melecio's heart is only full after having helped out in his own way. "Masarap sa pakiramdam na tumulong para malaman din nilang may mga sumusuporta sa mga sacrifices nila," he said.
