The National University Band is there each and every game to back up the Bulldogs, especially in basketball.

Without the NU Band, the school and its faithful would not be able to, quite literally, make noise.

In the continuing COVID-19 crisis, one member of the NU Band, in particular, has continued to provide backup for those in need.

Trumpet player Michaella Mallari is a brave frontliner in Manila as she serves as Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Council member in Brgy. 69, Zone 6.

Through the community quarantine, the 22-year-old has acted alongside the barangay council to distribute relief goods as well as define peace and order.

Of course, Mallari is taking the virus as seriously as she could.

Still, the third-year financial management student is deciding, and always deciding, to remain true to her responsibility.

Not only that, the youth leader and the SK Council have themselves taken initiative.

Not letting her age get in the way of extending a helping hand, Mallari urged her schoolmates to keep doing their part as well.
