With the caption ‘Different seasons, one team’, the DLSU icons from different batches which delivered the Taft-based squad’s 11 UAAP women’s volleyball titles since 1999 were featured in the video which aims to inspire and support the frontliners battling the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
“We, the Lady Spikers are once again united to aim our arrows in unity to fight this pandemic,” the message at the concluding part of the video read.
“As one team, we fully support our frontliners who are fighting the battle for all of us,” the message, which was arranged to appear like an arrow head, continued. “Let us unite in prayer and help in any way we can to support our frontliners and countrymen.”
Included in the video were the breakthrough Season 62 champion team led by that year’s Most Valuable Player Iris Ortega-Patrona, Sally Macasaet, Ivy Remulla and Demelle Chua.
